He has really been agenda driven this year. Wonder if it is from having a podcast now? The first play may have thrown off the timing but he still had time to throw. The second play the issue was not spiking the ball. The third play had nothing to do with DeVito and was silly.

This headline is the classic, quintessential STRAWMAN that people talk about on here. It attempts to argue against a point no one made.

I haven't read every post on here, but I haven't seen anyone blaming Tommy Devito for individual plays. This headline suggests there's been a lot of that.

Everyone knows that when TD or any QB gets sacked its almost always a combination of the OL getting beat, RB's not picking up blitzers, receivers not getting open and play-calling that seems to ignore the fact that a blitz coming is a distinct possibility.

As I have posted a couple of times, there has been so much wrong with this team that its very difficult to blame anybody or anything individually.

The O-Line has taken the most heat. But then there have been balls that have been held too long. And these could be the fault of the receivers or the pass patterns.

What’s strange about the article is that he goes on to describe numerous other plays and what went on. So he chose the 3 he chose and described them as the 3 key plays with serveis in the middle of them.

Another thing about #2 besides not spiking the ball beforehand. There is another option to stop the clock, just throw and incomplete pass at the feet of your receiver. It's really simple. Or heave it over there head if they are on the sideline.

The game threads from what I have read are pretty much the lowest of the low. It’s jus people reacting to plays with little thought.

If that’s the basis for this, the he really doesn’t have a leg to stand on.

Just curious. Do people actually buy these cockamamie excuses or justifications when you give them? Other than your parents, who very much want to believe?

It kinda reminds me the guys in the frat justifying Animal House-level behavior with, “We are under such incredible pressure during the week, we just have to low off steam”

People actually bought that even though these guys weren’t under any real pressure with 15 semester hours of the course in their “cake” majors.
