I believe Gary Gait is paid a huge amount for a lacrosse coach, like 2-3x what the Maryland coach makes.

That is incorrect. Tillman makes north of $400k. $800k would make gait one of the top paid employees at SU and he would be listed in the tax documents. He appeared once a handful of years back at $700k due to some wacky dr gross bonuses and benefits but hasn’t appeared since that one time. He is most likely in the range of $500k which is the neighborhood of many top D1 lax coaches.

I saw Tillman at $341k through 2022; also saw the $700k when Gait was coaching SU Women and an updated $1mm now for the Men. Not all his comp comes from SU (camps, IMG).
Syracuse.com periodically reports SU sports spending (with a lag of a year or two) and I believe we spend more than any other school on lacrosse by a good margin.
