Wildhack, I beg of you please fix the dome concessions

SU sells the concession to a group for a set fee. SU doesn't care how that group runs it or if it makes money.
they should care about the customer experience which currently is piss poor. In 1992 it was good to outsource the concessions to schools, they can't do that anymore at least not the way they're doing it now.

I seriously feel like I get better service from the civilians working for their respective groups than I do at other stands.

Take the upper level kiosk style stands at the bottom of each set of stands for instance...

A bunch of obvious students, with Syracuse hats that say concession. They all don't exactly call English their first language. You order nachos, they tell the next guy what you want, and another guy to get your soda, and then they just sit there waiting for two other people to screw up your nacho order. Couldn't they take the next persons order while they wait? Frickin ridiculous.

I know what you are talking about with the service. When I was just in, at the NC State Football game, I was 2nd in line, and it was torturous as I watched them walk and get one item at a time for the person in front of me. Walk over and get a box of popcorn, come back and set it on the counter...walk over and get a hot dog and come back and set it next to the popcorn...pour the drink...let it sit there for 3 minutes...pour some more...
I used to we will visit the concession stands together at the next women's game I am at...and we can get frustrated together. (probably next season)..

All I wish is for a bit more room for me to walk past 15 people when I have to hit the trough. I eat beforehand, and I bring my own booze so it happens. Even at halftime it's a pain. Mainly why I just walk up, and buy tickets so I have free reign. Though, it's easy to scalp for better seats at equal, or cheaper prices. I hate being the guy walking down the row. I'm a bigger guy, it's gotta be obnoxious.

One more wish, mobile lets me post in less than 10 minutes before it works.

My husband has complained about this on and off for years, and we rarely get anything even when we travel to stadiums that have good food/drink. I guess after years of stale popcorn served from a garbage bag (yes this is how they bring it in) and rock hard pretzels we just gave up.

It is not the most important piece of the equation of a fan experience but it is something that you notice when you travel to other venues and is talked about regularly. Fixing it as part of Dome overhaul will make a difference in how hometown fans and visitors view us.

Oh- and please fix the sound system too. Cant understand 85% of what's played on the video boards. Always frustrating but even more when something important ( I know that's rare) is going on like yesterday's tribute to Pearl.

I know the original post was supposed to be tongue in cheek (and for the record I found it both true and hilarious) but this post is sums up my thoughts. I went to a Saturday 4pm game earlier this month and hadn't really had much to eat, but had been drinking. For some reason I had a craving for a pretzel. It was literally the worst pretzel I have ever had. Both stale and way, way too much salt.

That, and I can't understand anything that comes out of the video boards. I look around to see everyone else equally pissed off.

I go to a lot of UNLV games. Concessions are great, they have an entire bar (that you don't need a club membership to), their production and atmosphere is great before the game.

While we do have a huge fan base and our crowds are impressive. The dome is a hole and it seems like we're about 20 years behind in technology. Something needs to happen sooner than later with the place.

My biggest gripe is that it's so hard to find a vendor selling bottled soda. My wife likes bottled soda for the obvious reasons; it doesn't go flat as quickly, doesn't get watered down, doesn't spill as easily, and is easier to carry. But there are only like two dudes selling bottled soda in the whole stadium. There are 95 dudes selling cans of beer. Can they do the unthinkable and make bottled soda available next to every other beer guy?

dome dog, pretzel, nachos and popcorn. add a cold drink . do we really need to mess with this formula ? (and don't forget a bag of peanuts )

All of those taste pretty much terrible. The dogs are barely cooked, the pretzels are stale, the nachos consist of gluey cheese spread and a handful of jalapenos. The popcorn is always stale and tasteless.

It would be nice if they actually offered food that tasted good. Imagine the concept!

My biggest beef is that they label the different beer stands, but when you get there, they sell a different brand. How hard it is to stock more than a couple brands of beers when you are selling them in cans? How hard is that?

Are you serious? $50 for third level? That is insane.

All the "name" games are priced like that. It almost forces you to buy a season ticket. Season tickets are a better deal if you plan to go to more than 3 individual games and try to cherry pick the best ones.

Last night the wayback machine broke during the shift/blue moon, void transaction and rebooted twice. When I got in line at the start of halftime there were two people behind me. By the time I was finally able to pay and get my beverage it had queued up to about 15 people. The poor woman behind the counter, she was getting frustrated as the line continued to grow

If people going to the Dome could see what a classy place like NC St., PNC arena, they'd go crazy. Every kind of food you might think of in a clean, bright atmosphere and pleasant, knowledgeable people taking car of you.

you start with this formula. we have {x} number of people to serve in under 15 minutes = how much time can each person spend at the window .
work backwards from there what your best options are to get food over the counter in that set time frame. you can't spend 5 minutes per sale !!!!
