The one shot he made was pretty amazing.  Coming off a high screen, the pass to him was low and outside.  The pass came hard at knee level or lower.  Many times that same pass would roll off the receiver's hands and out of bounds for a turnover.  Many times it would be saved, but then the offense would have to reset.  Cooney was able to catch the ball, do a very quick low dribble, rise and nail a three pointer before his defender could get off the screen.  Of course, the defender was Mr. Nobody from Nowhere College, but the physical skills Cooney showed are largely immeasurable.  Hands, composure, quick release, some handle and accuracy were all demonstrated on that one play.  The two things I like the most were his hands and composure.  A lot of guards are lucky to prevent a turnover.  Cooney made it into a very nice positive play.  He will force his way onto the court if he is making those plays consistently in practice.
