For the lower tier teams lets hope so. Higher talent teams can string together some good zone performances, but low basketball IQ teams will struggle mightily if it is not the norm

I think the exact opposite, I think most mid level teams have higher bball IQ and less athletes and will do better in a zone. More athletic teams will stick with what they know.

I hear what you are saying but that is rarely the case in the Big East. Elsewhere in some mid level conferences I would de inclined to agree
