How are we deciding Willis is a better blocker? From what I have seen Nixon was better, but I may have missed some plays.

Nixon is better, and based on the UNLV game, Nixon HAS to be a better receiver than Willis. Don't get me wrong, I love Willis' run style and potential, but he really needs to work on catching the ball.

Looks like Nixon indeed should get another year in 2025 as he had a medical redshirt in 2020 and a standard redshirt in 2021 according to his current Cuse.com bio.

Allen’s reliability as a blocker has been skimmed over a lot, because he was so dependable as a runner/receiver. Willis and Nixon will be asked to step up in that area a lot, as the new QB will undoubtedly need more time in the pocket than McCord did.

The Oronde Gadsden article on him having his screws removed came out on April 11th. So I was thinking maybe Will Nixon is a couple weeks ahead of OG's timeline. But OG was catching some balls in practices before he removed his screws, all be it at a reduced pace. Will was just riding a bike and jogging in practices so far I believe. So maybe they are on a similar timeframe but Will decided to get his screws out a bit earlier. The old OG article said getting the screws removed was an optional procedure. Looking forward to getting him back. He's going to be a big piece this season.
