Correct the press will be about stopping teams from getting comfortable with the zone IMO. Let them see the 2-3 for a bit and then make them forget what they were trying to do against it with the press. Once you go back to the 2-3 they are them much more likely to shoot quickly.

I think JB will press a lot in these early games to get the players conditioned for the regular season. Then he will save it and use it at strategic moments to take over a game.

Its JB's idea not mine. I figured it out watching the exhibitions and of course watching him coach SU bball since I started paying attention to it.

Maybe. Another way to look at it -- the press gets Chukwu & Thompson into the games, getting them comfortable, and JB uses all 9 players this way. I expect you will continue to see JB tune it up in the first halves of most out of conference games. He may change things up (as he always has) in the big games, depending on situations.
