Williams faces surgery, Hale finished

Rodney should be able to get his year back, if it is so desired down the road.

Hale was hurt more then any player I can ever remember save for maybe Flemming and Majestic Mapp at UVA.

Syracuse football freshman S Rodney Williams out for season, WR Keenan Hale steps away from team (PS: Bailey)

According to NCAA bylaw 14.24, Williams is eligible to apply for a medical hardship waiver because the injury was sustained during the first half of the season and he's played in less than 30 percent of the team's regular-season games (12).

In team sports, the injury or illness occurs when the student-athlete has not participated in more than three contests or dates of competition (whichever is applicable to that sport) or 30 percent (whichever number is greater) of the institution's scheduled or completed contests or dates of competition in his or her sport.

you dont hear of many kids staying in a program and getting hurt that much without ever seeing the field for a single snap. tough luck.

I feel bad for Roland and Keenan. I hope the best for both of them. When I first read the title I was thinking the Williams was Wayne. I am glad it is not.

I played against Majestic map in a high school all-star tournament. The kid was an athletic freak too bad to see him have such an injury ridden career.

As far as Hale it's tough break for him, but we have scholarships opening up left and right. We probably could take 30 kids in this class if we want.

Majestic Mapp will always have a spot on the "All-Name Team".

Along with Exree Hipp and Fennis Dembo.

I was really hoping that Hale could be a player. He was a big time track athlete in HS in multiple disciplines.

I thought he ran out of eligibility back in about 1997 when him and Kaseem Sinceno were teaming up together :D

After playing TE for the Rams for like 7 years, he decided to rejoin the Orange in a fluke eligibility documentation error... only to get hurt.

Ha! Well I have been accused of living in the past. I guess this proves it.
