Check out these plays:

12-step no-call travel:

3-time walk no call, then foul on the opposing team: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ljINKpOgRPk

It's a little known fact that the local sheriff will arrest the referees after the came if they make calls that go against Duke. It's really nuts there! Why even have rules??????

no big east officiating has been just as bad. I have seen 15 bad calls against us in a road game, no lie.
Whats the point of even playing if they are going to handicap you with 14-20 points like that.

My biggest quarrel this year is guards pushing off with their off hands leading to a pass or shot.
Hope they continue the trend and emphasize that more next year. Some games a team has done it 4-5 times against us this year.

I remember the last road game at Providence we were 5 against 8 and still beat them.

I'll try to find it but there is an old NBA clip where someone pivot foots there way from around half court to around the three point line without a call. It was spectacular - it was Barkely or someone like that.

*Conspiracy Theory Alert*

Am I the only one that KNOWS we aren't winning the game at Cameron? There's just no way that whoever is in charge will allow Duke to lose that game. Duke - and by Duke, I mean the ACC - needs a big-time win, even if from it's own.

If Duke should win, they will have earned a two seed (not necessarily in my opinion, but factoring in the Duke bump) assuming they play like they have this past week the rest of the season. I have no idea how the NCAA tourney selection committee works, but I'm pretty sure that there is some shadiness - after all, it's the NCAA and a "blue-blood."

I can see the past the irrational hatred of Duke for a little while and see how this might work in everyone's favor: losing to Duke @ Cameron would not weaken the resume, assuming it's close (which I assume will be part of the plan). Duke - and by Duke, I mean the ACC - would get a nice manufactured hard-earned victory against the best team in the country. This would probably give the ACC at least a couple one or two seeds. I'm sure SU would be guaranteed a spot at MSG if this were to go down.

I'm sure Dr. Gross is hard at work finalizing the arrangements...

Oh I get it! That's what they must be talking about during the timeouts. Not how to win, but how to run the script...

That was beautiful.

You really think they were cracking down on fouls this year for player safety or to make it more enjoyable!?

There's two reasons for more fouls: to give people that work for the NCAA more control of the game, point-by-point on subjective calls that really only the NCAA can audit; and, to extend game-time which means more commercials. There's so many more ways to make the game better for everyone from the players to the coaches to the fans than to make play more fragmented.

It's right in line with the conference realignment BS. I wish I could just forget it all.

There won't be enough towels to wipe off the snotty noses after we blister Duke at Cameron. The homicides will be the only thing keeping Durham's finest busy that night.

So in your scenario, the ACC has set us and Pitt up as straw men? And Duke can come in an slay the invaders and preserve the honor of the ACC?
Seems like a lot of work all that coordinating and keeping secrets and the like, they ought to just let them play.

Coach K berates refs into thinking whatever he says is true. He's the winningist coach in D1 history, there is no way he could be wrong. It's kind of like Michael Jordan and the NBA officials believing he was so good that there was no way he could ever travel. Or how the media made people believe that the future proctologist from Ohio State is so skilled in thievery, that knocking an opponent to the ground or slapping their arms to jar the ball loose is not a foul.

So If K says it, it must be true...

And some people complained about Big East officiating...

Haha yup, I remember I posted over the summer or something about how all the people who complain about the officiating and how they were glad to be leaving the BE would change their tune when we go to the deandome or cameron

Can we wait to blame the officials for our loss at Cameron until, well you know...... we actually lose.

It's not a very good reputation. You don't get a reputation like this without some supporting evidence. Did you watch videos? If there are no rules then it isn't a game. Why even play it.

D Wade travels all the time. Interesting thing about that is the catch and establish is a travel without doing anything else. He does this all the time, but I think a lot of players do this and it's never called. I feel like it's nearly impossible to come off of a screen at the foul line extended (like Trevor does all the time) without having to take two steps. No sweat if they catch and shoot or pass, but the second they put the ball to the ground and dribble, that's a travel.

I don't know if it's been linked here, but the Corey Maggette one is fantastic.

I've always thought this as well. I have just come to accept it.
