The 2001 team that keeps getting referred to was +15. Last year we were -12. In Dino’s first year we gained 441 yards per game and scored 26 points per game. Last year it was 456 and 27. This year it’s 482 and 44. The major difference is field position. Overall our running game is 243-173 vs. 174-174 for the other guys. But our passing game is only 178-215 and only 28-59 on third down. Our pass defense has been pretty good, 219-165, especially on third down 79-28. In Dino’s first year we were 172-249 on our running plays and 269-282 on our passing plays In Dino’s second year we were 219-229 on our running plays and 252-322 on our passing plays So we’ve declined as a passing team, (primarily due to losing Amba Etta-Tawo, Steve Ismael and Erv Phillips.
