I know. I know. Im the guy that was asking if Wisconsin was really going to be much of a dog vs Kentucky...that was before I looked carefully at the Wisconsin / AZ box score.

After perusing that, I now realize that Wisconsin shot their WAD against AZ on Saturday. That second half performance was pornographic.

Kentucky played so / so vs ND.

If they were simply playing a neutral sight game in other circumstances, I really think Wisconsin would be very much capable of beating the 'Cats..

but just the way it works out...Look for Kentucky to win going away. that 5 point spread is not going to be enough , although I would still stay away.

You just gave us all the reasons why uk will cover and then said "although Id stI'll stay away". Lol

Kentuckys has been about 3 points overrated the entire tournament. Stay away.

You're right. 20 points. About half way in between West Virginia and Notre Dame.

I think kaminsky struggles

They need to shoot lights out like against Arizona. Certainly possible.

It's odd to read this, after reading others say Wisconsin would provide a better version of what Notre Dame offered. I can't say for certain, but I certainly hope the prognosis is off like when you referred to them as KU.

Agree. Wisconsin needed the shooting performance of the year to beat Arizona and they got it. Doubt they top it on Saturday. And Kaminsky's low-release layups and slow spin moves are going to be less effective against a tall and athletic team.

That's why they play the games. These prognostications don't amount to anything, nor will the last game's performance for either team have anything to do with how this next one unfolds.

Kentucky is the 2007 Patriots. Undefeated hype at it's best because of the media. The spreads are too big each game. This game is about 2-2.5 points higher than what most analytic sites project. You guys who want to bet on Kentucky are playing with fire. My buddy jumped on the Notre Dame game and lost 200 dollars.

Wisconsin is the best team they have played all year.

Kentucky shot 53% and they played so-so? They won't shoot that high of a percentage against Wisconsin. People need to give Notre Dame credit, they are a good team, the best team Kentucky played all year so far.

Pats started 2007 8-0 ATS, but only finished 10-6.

Watching wisconsis vs arizona they had no point guard no dribble pentration I wouldn't be surprised to see UK bring the full court press and force wisky to double their turnovers. from 7.3 to like 14.

I don't think uk will score inside as easily as against nd though, and that will play a part.

Wisky is a jumpshooting team and uk will be all over them. Uk is also maybe the best pass denial team in the country and that spells trouble without dribble penetration. I understand the height thing but ND had the two point guards and were able to show uk could be broken down with some decent dribble penetration. I think Duke has just as good of if no ta better shot against Uk then wisky because of that, and okafor being a wide body that doesn't get backed down easily.

Also keep in mind the final four is in big ten country which favors wisky some.
Its going to be a heck of a game if wisky can knock down some open looks.

WCS is going to shut Dekker down, Towns is going to give Frank the Tank fits as well.

KP Adjusted Offensive Efficiency (Best in last 5 years)

1. Wisconsin, 2015 - 127.5
2. Michigan 2014 - 124.1
3. Missouri 2012 - 123.9
4. Duke 2014 - 123.5
5. Ohio St 2011 - 123.3
6. Notre Dame 2015 - 123.1

Wisconsin has had the best efficiency in the last 15 years as well, but I know the formula is tweaked and not the same now as 7-10 years ago, so not going back that far.

I think many are selling the Wisconsin offence short. This offence is about 2 points a game better than any other team in the last 5 years.

On the defensive end, we have the best defensive efficiency in the last 5 years as well, tied with 2 other teams at 85.6 (Wisconsin 2013, Ohio St 2012).

Wisconsin has totally switched in 2 years from a defence oriented team to an offensively strong team.

It will be a great matchup.

EDIT - just noted that instead of saying "We have the team" with the best defensive efficiency in UK, I said "we have" the best defensive efficiency. I puked a little,

Towns, Lyle, etc. are going to look foolish trying to move their feet out on the wing to guard Dekker. He'll have open looks or drive past them all game long.

Bad matchup for UK.

Only way WCS stops Dekker is if he stands near the basket and wait for him to drive at him. WCS won't be able to run all day with him.

WCS is an elite defender who moves like no 7' man I've seen, I've seen him guard the perimeter many times, he wouldn't haven't a problem with Dekker.

I think WCS has great feet.. its also true he has not guarded a big man who shoots 3's and can drive by him.

but really any team that wants to beat kent needs to shoot 40% or better to stay in the game. I dont know people can say wisc didnt dribble drive on Ariz. they did it all game long but they knocked down 3's as well. the issue is can Wisc keep the 2 bigs out of foul trouble enough to get points from them.

i think consensus was Ariz is way better than ND. ND did not shoot lights out and stayed in the game and Wisc has gotten better play out of the bigs all year than ND. maybe kent shoots lights out and then no one beats them.

Wisc also gets jackson back after another week of practice

the question is how did they ever lose to rutgers.

Wisconsin is disciplined with a coach who is too. Kentucky has a coach who is disciplined and has worked hard trying to make his team disciplined. Can they hold it together against a more experienced Wisconsin team?

Good call.
