We had momentum. Kiyan had just hit a three. But, after the miss, Miami went on a 10-1, and led by 13. We never got closer than 7 or 8. I'm not blaming it on JJ, but the team had no drive. Zone and MTM, both were bad. Rebounding was bad. The team had no fight. Pretty sad, when down 9 with 2 minutes left, that you don't even try to foul. Red just let Miami run the clock down.

There was booing, but surprised there wasn't more booing.

I remember Coach Boeheim sitting a player for showing off with a behind the back pass. Also saw Rony Seikaly miss a reverse dunk. Don't remember if he was immediately benched. It was at the end of a game SU was winning handily. The players on the bench could not contain their laughter.

Someone came in sayin' I'm insane to complain .
And my time is a piece of wax falling on a termite
That's choking on the splinters ...

In the VT game JJ started the second half over dribbling and driving to the basket. I believe he missed two shots and turned the ball over. SU had a seven point lead to start the half and it was pretty much gone 2:00 minutes into the half

I keep reading about all the talent on this team but Id rather have less talented players with better self awareness and good basketball IQ.

Autry needs to go without question. But a truly talented team finds ways to win some of these games. I’m not saying these guys are lousy. They’re D1 players. You have to be ridiculously good to play any D1 sport. But “talent” alone doesn’t isn’t going to always get it done. Especially if you dissolve your own talent with mental lapses and mistakes.
