With both UVA and Duke losing tonight, we may get Nova as #1 seed at Dome...

Somehow, I would have preferred either UVA or Duke. Oh well, it would be something for the folks who moan the old Big East.

I am going to analyze it more tomorrow (as I am sure many TV pundits will as well), but I am not certain that a 4 loss Duke team is ahead of a 3 loss Wisconsin team for that final #1 seed.

In such a case Villanova/Duke end up in the East.

Lame call against Providence with 3.1 seconds left sending Archie to the line for two ft's...game should've went into OT.

A play before that Providence tied the game on a steal/loose ball when Nova turned it over on an inbounds...Jay Wright was screaming at the refs for a foul...found it ironic to our game when Christmas got mugged but no call was made...Ugh! Of course 'Nova got the favorable/questionable call at the end to preserve their W.

This is one of the many reasons I hate Villanova so much. A terrible call hands them the game yet again. The ref (Brian O'Connell) was behind the play 20 feet away. Archadouchbaggio wasn't even touched on a spastic now what am I gonna do? drive. O'Connell is the same guy who let Nova tackle our guys repeatedly at the end of regulation and stood there watching. I know everybody loves Jay, but team.

I think the locals will not be so inclined to cheer for Nova this time around if they come to the Dome. Jay raved about the support we gave them that year they got hosed, but that was then. We got hosed at Nova this year, and even JB was pissed about it. That was a big FU by the BE to SU. People I know around here have had a different view of Nova since that game. Not Jay, but Nova. I can't stand this team, so anyone they play will be my favorite...unless it's GTown or UConn, of course.

Disclaimer: I'm simply referring to the New Nova. I still love the Nova teams from yesteryear. Ed Pinckney and Harold Pressley will always be "the man" to me.

Nova doesn't have the wins that UVA or Duke have. The top of the ACC is way better than the top of the Big East.
Nova non conference wins Temple, St. Joe's, Michigan, Illinois, Syracuse,VCU. Then Butler, Xavier, Providence x2 and Georgetown
Their are no elite NCAA teams in there and a couple bubble teams.
UVA beat Davidson, VCU, Maryland, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Louisville.

Nova is not going to end up higher than 3rd overall on the S-Curve.

I agree I like Jay Wright but this Nova team hacks and gets away with it. Not my favorite team. If their is no ACC I would like them though because I like Wright.

To be fair, PC mugged the Nova guy on that in-bounds pass to get the steal and the tie. So, there were two awful calls, as that play had a lot more contact than Archie's drive.

If Nova wins, they are a #1, and for all the Duke/Wisconsin stuff, shouldn't Duke get an edge for winning in Madison? This is what I can't stand about seeding and resumes. You have two teams who played each other, why doesn't that matter more than top 100 wins,rpi, sos?

The Big Ten blows. I love this Wisconsin team, but that conference was a joke this year.
