[I]The No. 1 Maryland Terrapins close their season as the top ranked team in the final Media Poll of year. The 12-time NCAA champions are followed by No. 2 North Carolina, No. 3 Syracuse, No. 4 Duke and No. 5 Penn State to round out the top five.

Meanwhile, Loyola cracks the top ten coming in at No. 6, while No. 7 Northwestern, No. 8 Stony Brook, No. 9 Boston College and No. 10 Virginia follow.

USC enters the top 20 for the first time this season after receiving votes for a majority of the year.

James Madison and UMass are also receiving votes.
