Attacker of the Year – Kayla Treanor, Syracuse
Although she had a mid-year slump, Kayla Treanor is the heart and soul of Syracuse women's lacrosse. Against North Carolina in the ACC championship, she was the one who scored the game winner for the Orange with under two minutes to play in the second overtime period. Talk about clutch. Although they lost to the Terps in the semifinal, she was the one who kept them in the game with a team-high five points. Treanor finished her junior year as a two-time Tewaaraton finalist, leading Syracuse in goals (60) and tied for first on the team in points (91) with Halle Majorana. Plus, how can you forget her Gary Gait-inspired scoring techniques around the crease, even dishing the ball in the net from behind goal line extended?
