Some teams have tried faceguarding her, with varying levels of success, but Northwestern decided to play her straight up, with timely help from double teams. Jess Carroll, a senior who has shown bursts of athletic versatility as a midfielder, was given the assignment and she played the game of her career. Treanor never really got close to the net, took no shots, and exited with an empty ledger.
