GREENSBORO, N.C. (theACC.com) – The Atlantic Coast Conference has honored four individuals as recipients of the 2015 ACC Women’s Lacrosse annual awards, as voted on by the league’s eight head coaches.

Syracuse junior attacker Kayla Treanor was named the 2015 Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Lacrosse Offensive Player of the Year, and Notre Dame senior defender Barbara Sullivan earned ACC Defensive Player of the Year honors. Virginia freshman goalie Rachel Vander Kolk earned Freshman of the Year honors, and Syracuse’s Gary Gait is the 2015 ACC Coach of the Year.

Treanor, who also earned Offensive Player of the Year following the 2014 season, is second in the league in goals scored with 53 and overall points with 80 (53 goals, 27 assists) this season. She also leads the league with five game-winning goals. The Niskayuna, New York, native was named the ACC Championship most valuable player after scoring the game-winning goal in overtime in the title game to lead the Orange to it first ACC Championship. Treanor is a two-time first team All-ACC selection and a Tewaaraton Award nominee.

Gait led Syracuse to a 14-7 overall record and the 2015 ACC Championship to earn his first ACC Coach of the Year honor. Syracuse earned eight wins over nationally ranked opponents, and is the No. 4 seed in the NCAA Championship
