WML Project: Sugar Ray Robinson and Carmen Basilio

7/1/56 Sugar Ray Robinson He’d beaten Bobo Olson for the middleweight title but had yet to meet Gene Fullmer or Carmen Basilio. He come on at 12:50. Ray proves him self to be multi-lingual. Bennet thinks he might be Elvis Presley. Wrong! Ray had "done something in show business by trying to become a professional dancer but found he was better than dancing in the ring.


Sugar Ray had been on the show on 2/18/51 but that is a “lost episode”.
