And I imagine they're expensive to make. Otherwise one would think that once the statue is completed and it's way off like this one that they would scrap it. In this case they were like, "Eh, screw it. Good enough."

This is basically trolling their "guarding" of the Spartan statue. I'd wonder if it was MSU students to create fake indignation, but State is spelled correctly, unlike their common vandalism of private property.

Whoever did it was an idiot because the vast majority of the Michigan fanbase looks at MSU as more of an annoyance than a rival, even considering recent results, reserving 99% of their hatred for Ohio State and this only serves to validate the thing MSU wants most, to be perceived by Michigan as a rival and equal.

This moral outrage is even more ridiculous when you consider that tagging both public and private property is a common occurrence by those illiterates. The Michigan fans just expect it as the price of having to deal with them.
