So I saw Womack with Cuseregular and Retro44 after the scrimmage. As we were walking over I told Mike (Cuseregular) watch me bring a smile to his face. Mike looked at me with a little disbelief. So as I walk up Kenterous was gazing away from my direction and I said...So I assume you would like me to bring you some boiled peanuts? He immediatley turned and lit up a huge smile and said yes. The kid surely is a tad homesick and he is a country boy by heart. Most of his teammates are from the big cities or at least the suburbs. I told him to hang in there and to learn about the area and treat this as a wonderful journey in life with an opportunity to see another part of the country. I find out he loves to hunt and fish...we all talked about how CNY is an awesome area for both. Retro showed some pictures of huge bucks on his property and he was impressed how big the deer are in NY. Fellow Bama Boy (Steve Clark is also a huge outdoorsmen) as mentioned by Kenterous. I went on and talked about his hometown and living in LA (Lower Alabama) and I think he truly enjoyed that someone actually knew about his hometown. I recommended he get a few of his teammates next July and rent a charter in Lake Ontario to catch the deep water salmon and lake trout. The kid is a legit 6'2" and looks like an athlete...lean but quick...obviously he has great hands (all state in baseball). I told him about Kevin Johnson...essentially to hang in there, enjoy the ride and love the game. He will be a crowd favorite. He is so polite and you can immediately tell he was raised correctly. A great ambassador to the Cuse.
