With Cooney, Howard and Obe coming off the bench. Have Obe spell DC for a few mins, and rotate Lydon, Roberson and Richardson at the forward spots, and G, Cooney, Richardson and Howard at the guard spots. This would make us bigger on the boards, eliminate a lot of those short jumpers that FSU had a field day with, and make our back court much taller and more difficult for them to hit easy 3's. A lot of our 3's are against Cooney, and with him not being able to drive or shoot these days, I'd rather have Richardson playing shooting guard. At least Richardson can get to the rim, and he can also make a 3.

If Obokoh were capable of playing at this level we wouldn't be seeing him on the bench every game as we get manhandled on the boards.
And Cooney is capable of playing at this level? Hardly would say he is...Cooney should be coming off the bench and playing 10-15 mins. a game max. Obokoh should be at least coming off the bench and playing 5-8 mins. allowing DC to sit and rotate with Lydon. No reason we should have a small lineup in there when we have a 7 footer on the bench. If he's not capable, then they should have asked him to transfer, because he's only wasting a much needed scholarship which could have been given to someone who is capable.

Yes, Cooney is capable of playing at this level. He shouldn't be a focal point of the offense, but "10-15 mins max" is silly. And Obokoh is roughly four inches shy of being a 7-footer.

Our rebounding issues are primarily due to scheme. Unless DC1 is walking through that door, adding a few inches and a few pounds to the backline won't accomplish anything in this type of game.

I think this is our best line up as well.

Unfortunately it is not practical to play. Coleman is not ready to play huge minutes night in and night out, and playing him and Lyden together for huge stretches risks getting both of our centers in found trouble (sorry but Obokoh is not an option, if he was good enough to be playing he would be playing).

Also, while Richardon's natural position is at the top of the zone it's generally a bad idea to ask freshmen to learn two positions, they have a steep learning curve to overcome already.
