Or even 1st hand info...

Syracuse is a small town...most of these (local) investigators are Cuse fans themselves. If you get info from a relative, friend, etc...who works in an official capacity you might be jeopardizing their career and the fidelity of the investigation. I'm sure local and outside agencies are reading this forum. Just my humble opinion what I would be doing if I was an investigator.

Now if we had a Premium board ...

Then maybe those in an official capacity should and keep quiet...they are the ones jeopardizing their careers and any investigations by talking in the first place...and in the process are riling up half the town...

When this story first broke I was 100% convinced it was a ploy by Bees to start up the pay side here the day after and force everyone to join for the inside info. It might still be - at least I'm not totally convinced it isn't.

If an investigator is that stupid to discuss a case with friends or relatives they deserve to be outed!

I agree with this 100% Stern. I've been involved in my share of investigations (not in a law enforcement capacity) as an agent of the State and as a School Board member. I've never spoken of these confidential matters to anyone including my wife. How tough is it to maintain confidence? Its really not difficult at all. You just change the subject. Whoever is leaking this stuff gets no sympathy from me if they are discovered.

yep always wondered this every time I read a detailed post alleging this or alleging that with specifics as to what these folks are thinking. Most of us on here are passing along gossip we hear from water cooler convos and some tangential connections (like I'm acquainted with one of the four whose names were supplied by Davis earlier), but really it can get to be like a game of telephone tag. that said I'm amazed at how often the common sense analysis of things on here have been somewhat on as to what's seemingly transpired. It's like the ultimate sleuthing novel and I for the life of me cannot believe this is happening in our own little burg.

Can't write a script like this...well not one that anyone would have believed.

We're witnessing and participating in the validation of the wisdom of crowds on a daily basis here.
