working hard and playing hard...yada...yada...yada...everyone in the country works hard and plays hard. its the teams that work hard and then play smart on saturdays that are difference makers. anyone see northern illinois light up that toledo defense last night? do they have better athletes? I THINK NOT!

its about playing to win on offense and trying to scoring every dam drive by playing progessive, deceptive, and smart and aggressive offense! throw the talent question out the window boys, these MAC teams go up and down the field each and every week...and yes, even against bcs foes. louisville was throwing the ball downfield with a freshman qb with a big lead in the 4th quarter! thats called playing to win.

lets hope marrone doesnt play for a defensive ugly bloodbath this week as he does on the road each and every week. we have the talent, the oline is playing well enough, and nassib is capable given an aggressive gameplan. we wont run the ball against uconn. LETS COME OUT FLYING!

GO CUSE!

who says northern Illinois doesn't have better o-players or athletes? Just because we have syracuse on our jerseys?

i would like to believe we have at least the same level athlete...at least, difference is, those MAC offenses go for it each and every possession.

The secret to "playing smart" on Saturdays is to "work hard" during the preseason/week/season so that you are prepared and can play fast without too much thinking. Sort of counter-intuitive: playing smart - thinking less.
