Has anyone figured out what is and what is not a handball? I thought it was a clear handball on Perisic yet some commentators were arguing that it should not have been called.  Not sure why.

The gap is narrowing between the traditional haves and have nots which is turning the World Cup into the global version of March Madness.

My only request is to do something about the yellow card accumulations.  Looked to me like lots of yellows stayed in pockets during the quarters. Made for some games more reminiscent of 82 or 86. Maybe increase it to 3.

I think Deschamps deserves a helluva lot more credit than he is getting.  Getting Pogba to buy into that 6 role was a master stroke.  Like telling Kobe, “You just play D and the other guys will score” and Kobe saying, “Ok”. French chemistry has always been the key to their success, or lack thereof.  Deschamps absolutely nailed it.

Not sure I like the expansion to 48.  Too many Panamas in that 33-48 range.
