After the game, they went to Jay williams for the post game analysis

I listened to TEN minutes of why Duke lost. what Duke DIDNT do.

I didnt hear ONE positive for how we beat them on their court. NOT ONE. Damn shame.

His name is Seth Greenberg... and he's one of ESPN's best talking heads. He's always treated SU fairly.

I know who he is. Just think we deserved something positive to be said after that game. He had chances and didnt really slop down the Jay Williams complain train.

yes he did. He said Jb isn't a good coach. He is a great coach.
Exactly. He insinuated that, nothing against Hop, we are a different team with JB at the helm. We need talking heads to keep that narrative going into March if the NCAA does take it into consideration.

Williams came off as fan boy. If he wants to be taken seriously as an analyst, which he proclaims to be, he can't see things strictly through Dukie lensed glasses. Sure everyone has biases they need to struggle with when you played for or love a team, but as an analyst who wants to be a legitimate one, you need to be more even handed in your dissection of the game. There is a REASON why they struggled on the D boards that went BEYOND just what they didnt do.

I thought Seth treated us just fine and said some good things, especially about JB. Similar good things said during the halftime of the OKL/ISU game.

He went on for a few minutes about how JB is a great, not good, great in game adjustment maker. They showed the stats of games under JB, and under Hopkins. A few points per game for the opponent better with JB, and opponents shoot a few % points worse in games he coached. Said they won because of JB, he is the leader, they came to play for him, and they respond to his experience and confidence. Now if you want to say JWill is rattled with what to say after seeing his beloved Dookies struggling so badly, you have a point, but I thought Seth was fair.

EHH... keep winning and don't worry about it. we were 10-7. we deserve that.

Duke losing 3 straight is the national story coming out of this game. Jay gave some props to Roberson. I don't think much of Jay as a commentator, but I think you are overstating your case.

THIS. The camera angles in Cameron blow. They need to move out of a high school gym.

I imagine the trustees at Duke are trying to figure out how to build a 25k plus basketball venue. There is just too much money to be made not to consider it. Not that Duke is lacking for money.

Some of the Cameron mystique is going down the toilet this year.

I think in the pre and post games, they assign one analyst to analyze one team and another analyst to take the other team. Of course they would assign Williams to Duke! Makes sense. Seth capably pointed out how awesome Boeheim is and that's why we won. The big story here is Duke's slide, not our comeback. Duke's slide is historic.

I agree.

Their fan base must be up in arms over all of this. Losing 3 in a row. Looking to fall out of the top 25. Only a 6 deep roster. K must be taking a beating on the Duke boards. I'm sure there are idiots calling for his head.

Greenberg did a looooong segment on the 9 a.m. Sports Center this morning. His entire piece was a love letter to Jim Boeheim and Syracuse. It is absurd to think that he is not a fan of the program.

PS: The original poster edited his post after it started to get responses. His un-edited post was critical of Seth Greenberg whom he called '"penis head." As a result, some of the responses make no sense.

Greenberg is awesome.

Jay Williams is an ok guy but he definitely gets owned in every segment. I will say that his comment about Duke's guard pressure really annoyed me.. "Guys like Gbinije and Cooney going right by you"... uhhh tf is that supposed to mean!? G has been owning everyone in CBB when he actually decides to be focused in games.

Oh no no no! They are not calling for K's head. They are calling for our heads! Every single one of them.

One of the most egregious Cameron victories was a couple years ago against Maryland. It was the end of the game, a tie ball was called, and the arrow should have gone over to MD. But it didn't. It stayed with Duke. Then something else happened, and if the arrow had been pointing to MD, they would have gotten the ball and had a good chance to win the game. I don't remember the particulars, but I do remember reading that the arrow didn't change.

Edit: I just went on the duke forum and the fans there were saying NADA about the bad refs, NADA about Syracuse, NADA about Coach K's press conference. They were to a man, woman and child worried about their team and could see that they are struggling. Some are worried about getting into the tourney! They are downhearted, just as we were earlier.

Agreed CTO. Greenberg praises JB every time he can. He even compared him to Hop and basically said, SU is just better with the HOFer at the helm.

I think Richardson's 14 points were almost as awesome as Roberson's 20 rebounds. Richardson's performance in a such a hostile environment is HUGE as we go forward. It's like he instantly grew up in that game. I'm expecting Richardson to have some really good games on the road going forward after playing at Duke.

I don't like the camera angles at Duke.
How is it that the cameras where on the opposite side of the court 2 years ago for the infamous coat=T game? Duke is one of the few places left that the cameras are on the team bench side of the court.
