Worst football coaches all time.

He will not be in my stocking tomorrow morning. That's coal right there.

Who’s the second?
I figured they'd throw Maloney in there even though he was not bad considering the challenges he faced. Or even Shafer since he was somewhat recent and had no QB luck (injury)

I guess if you just look at the SU record during his tenure, you might think Maloney did a bad job.

But if you factor in the situation he found himself in when he arrived, he did a good to very good job.

We had just had the mutiny of many of the black players and the facilities, including crumbling Archbold, were awful.
The 1979 team had stars on it like Bill Hurley, Craig Wolfley and HOFer Art Monk and was ranked even though they played no home games. His coaching staff was loaded with excellent guys like Tom Coughlin.

There's a real recency bias in this listing. It spoke about how Rick Venturi broke the consecutive loss streak while he was at NW'ern. Well, the 28-in-a-row streak he broke belonged to Dick Voris, whose 3-year career record at UVa was 1-29.
