The Metlife series MAKES no sense when your moving appealing games 250 miles away from your home campus. The Metlife game against USC was a complete EPIC FAILURE, this year against Penn State was fair and was successful because it was a true neutral site game. You like the Metlife Stadium deal because you reside in or near NYC that is it. I get people like having a game near their backyard to make it easier to get too, but moving appealing non-conference games 250 miles away and then playing the other game in their situation is flat out stupid espically if you can get more fans going if you played them at home like we would have for USC. My scenario would be ACC rivals playing a 1 time thing in 2 Historic baseball venues, while YS is new its still a historic scene and SU/BC would still be playing at each other's home stadiums 4 times in a decade. I could careless if we don't do it I was just wondering because BC is probably going to play in Fenway soon and if we wanted to move the BC game 1 time I wouldn't see a problem as our fans will get many chances to see them in the Dome. I am okay if this never happens, but your insistence that the Metlife/away deals are different is laughable. Tell me one good thing the Notre Dame Metlife/South Bend series was going to do? Thankfully, the ND-ACC deal took out the South Bend games for now but the price is we won't see ND in Syracuse till 2020 to get that accomplished. What good was the agreed too Metlife/South Bend series? Or playing USC in Metlife and drawing under 40k in attendance(with 15k USC fans)? The money we got was a 5 million dollar signing bonus from Metlife, but we probably lost a couple million in season tickets if ND would have come to the Carrier Dome in 2014-2019 like they did in 2003 when they played at the Dome. In 2003, to ND you had to buy season tickets no single game tickets were sold to that game, and the SU AD office made a lot of money off that in 2003. So the Metlife deal is about a couple million dollars which helps but isn't worth it when you lose potential fans in your home area in Syracuse. The stadium for Clemson was electric well we won't see ND for 7 years now so maybe 20k NYC SU fans can get an easy game in Metlife. Yay, SU is going to get a little pub in NYC BUT NOBODY BUT SU FANS THERE GIVE A CRAP. To Bnoro, Fenway can support a football field fine the old Boston Patriots used to play there and the Wrigley effect wouldn't be a problem.
