Sccop is a liability at the end of games because he can't shoot FTsm, puts up dumb shots, makes stupid turnovers and is getting burnt on D... basically the bad scoop is back and here to stay it looks like
Dion fouled someone on a three twice in one game
MCW... well who knows what he's doing... JB cut him out of the rotation for no other apparent reason than he's JB and he does what he wants

Only player peaking now seems to be James and I give JB full credit for that

JB has been paying off the refs. We'd have been undefeated during the regular season except for the fact that Mike Brey has access to a much larger endowment.

Sure, we didn't play well. It was hard to be more motivated than UNCA. JB has never been a master motivator. We do need to play nastier, more confident, make quicker decisions. Plus it is a tough venue. Pitt people would love to see us lose, and UNCA isn't that much farther from Pitt than Syracuse. The refs were not as bad as the whiners made them out to be. Last, maybe we need even more off-court distractions (/sarcasm).

Some things go wrong every game. If we clicked on all cylinders, we could beat anyone. But it doesn't work out that way every game.

And, yet, we found a way to win. Next!

Agree. I'll exempt South, Baye, Rakeem, and Carter-Williams (obviously), but all the other players and coaches stunk it up today. I'm heartened by the made free throws down the stretch. That's about it. They came out inexcusably flat for what was potentially the last game of the year (especially after a loss). The first long three hoisted up against a team with no one taller than 6'5" should have earned an immediate benching. Syracuse displayed no gameplan and no urgency.
