“I was moved to safety mid-season last year, and I’ve been excelling at the position greatly since then. I plan to continue growing at the position and making plays all season. This will show that I can play anywhere in the DB area, from safety to nickel and corner. I’m more than prepared for the challenge,” he said. “I think I demonstrated that last season.”

Elzey certainly excelled and finished with 71 tackles, four passes defended, three tackles for loss, and a blocked punt. He had three games with 10 or more tackles this season. He was named all-region honorable mention this past season.
