We seem to be involved with younger players. I don‘t remember us listed with players being 2-3 years from college.

In my untrained eye it feels like with a combination of job security for the next 3 years or so plus a bigger balance for recruiting we are able to get on these kids earlier and start to build relationships with them. I like what I see though

We have offered kids that age for years. Pretty standard in recruiting. Not unusual. The issue is that a school can only do so much in terms of contact with kids that age, because of NCAA rules, unless they can get them to visit for a game or camp.
