Class of 2018 WR Paul Woods (NY) Grad Transfer from URI

Yup, best of luck with Paul. I think he will be a pretty productive WR while Rutgers go 0-12
Western NY receivers go 0 for 2 at the plate. Would have loved to see Cooper and Woods at SU. Both are pretty good, but the bar seems to be rising.

Congrats to Paul for getting a full ride to a P5 school. That doesn't happen often for a WR coming out of upstate NY.

Rutgers continues to take players out of NY that SU passed on. They have accepted their fate as a bottom feeder and are doing their best to put together a class with unappreciated players. Hope Paul becomes a starter someday and leads them to an upset or two someday down the road.

Agreed. Except for the upset wins lol

Definitely a great thing. NYS as a whole is will 15-20 solid D1 signings this year.

Seems to have good hands. Hard to tell from the video if he can get open routinely in ACC play, IMO. Not a knock, just not enough tape to tell how he gets open when he’s not finding a hole in zone or with speed down the field in man. Seems like a player who can at least get open for 1st downs and we can use that.

Doesn't seem all that likely that he makes it to the hill based on his 2022 stats and his career trend line. Played in all of the games as well. Looks like others moved ahead of him on the depth chart for whatever reason.

the 21 stats are from where? If that's at Rutgers it's fine.

PWO would make a lot of sense with him (Similar to Cooper) but if we're handing out Scholarships to guys that had less than 100 yards receiving in 11 games at URI...eek.

Something was up last year. His father, who is the RB coach for Canisius, tweeted this out in October.

I do not know the full story, but it seems to me like Woods has been through some really bad times and is reaching out, looking for acceptance with a school that will treat him right, especially his dad showing his deans list award?
