Cornelius - By the end of his freshman year, he had established himself as one of the top vertical threats on the team. 2 for 53 and a TD vs. Pitt. 7 for 81 vs. BC. Then he disappeared for the majority of last season. Shafer mentioned he was the most consistent performer in the group during spring ball - he should be a solid rotational player in the mold of Darryl Daniel. Which isn't a bad thing at all. Those are the top four in my book at the position, but there are others that could absolutely see significant playing time. Custis and Enoicy are wild cards - they are big, strong and fast. We haven't had many players in that mold in SU history to be honest. Johnnie Morant comes to mind, but he was more of a vertical threat. These two are more physical types in the WR/TE hybrid mold. Then you have Ben Lewis, who has been able to provide solid moments when given playing time, and Sean Avant, who was the talk of camp last year before he got hurt (I think). There are reasons to be optimistic for sure. And there is fabulous depth at the position (didn't even mention Erv Phillips, who I view more as a RB but will play slot WR and could be a game-changing type as well). But at this point I think it's just potential, until many of these guys prove to be consistent during the season. [/QUOTE]
