[B]SYRACUSE, N.Y. – [/B]Syracuse's homestand continues on Thursday, Oct. 23 when it hosts No. 14/15 Virginia Tech. Game time is set for 7 p.m. at the SU Soccer Stadium. Admission is free. The Orange will then go on the road to face Wake Forest on Sunday, Oct. 26.
 
The Hokies (12-4-0, 3-4-0) are the fourth consecutive ranked opponent for the Orange (5-8-3, 2-5-0). Wake Forest enters the weekend with a 4-8-2 overall record and a 2-4-1 mark in ACC play.

Virginia Tech will try to snap a two-match losing streak when it takes on Syracuse. The Hokies opened the season with 10 consecutive victories and three of its four losses are to top 20 teams. Murielle Tiernan is Virginia Tech's leading scorer with 21 points on a team-best nine goals and three assists. Caroline Kelly has started 15 matches in goal for the Hokies. She has a 0.69 goals-against average and a .762 save percentage.
