In my view, with the large TV rights paid now compared to the year 2000, you can certainly make an offseason minor pro football league work with modest profit if things go OK and costs get managed decently.
So I have no problem with the Rock's group (I believe its his group) trying to have a go with offseason pro football. That being said, why the need to use a failed brand in the XFL and then also pay $15 million for it. What value does the XFL brand name bring, especially when it was associated with Vince McMahon.
Just start up a brand new league - the XFL brand does not help your cause.
