[B]Player to watch for Yale:[/B] Ben Reeves is the catalyst for the Bulldogs. The lean lefty glides to the goal and is equally effective as a scorer or set-up man. Reeves is a Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology major who has done extensive cancer research.

[B]Player to watch for Syracuse:[/B] The midfield tandem Sergio Salcido and Nick Mariano is the nations best. Salcido is from Winter Park, Fla., and has X-ray vision. Mariano is a UMass transfer who has a whippy release that makes goalies turn and rake.

[B]Pre-game speech:[/B] Veteran coach John Desko has made shrewd moves all season and he may be inclined to remind his team to make the WE decisions before the ME decisions. The Orange must stay true to their team first identity.

[B]What can make the difference?[/B] Yale can score but its defense has often been exposed. The face-off match-up between Yale’s Connor Mackie and SU’s Ben Williams will dictate flow. Syracuse, favored by two goals, will be on guard, learning from prior home playoff defeats to Army and Bryant.
