Caught some of rutgers game last night. Gus edwards looked very good. Bs that miami blocked him from coming here.

Really impressed with Pierre. He showed nice vision quickly bouncing it to the outside multiple times, whereas Strick & Neal often just lower their shoulder & pound the middle. On one play in particular, Strick missed a gaping wide hole off tackle & instead cut it back up the middle turning a potential 15-20 yd gain into his customary 3 yarder...an assistant immediately pointed it out to him on the sideline. Also consider that most of Pierre's rushes came on plays where the backup C was floating/lollipopping the snap back to Rex, completely throwing off the timing of the play. Pierre just has the look of a capable P5 RB.

Gus literally averaged .1 yards more per carry than Strickland did.

I guess the appropriate response to your missive would be - stats sometimes don't tell the whole story.
