Lester was promoted last season when T-Hunt went down and combined with many other injuries Lester decided to keep it simple for the remainder of the season.  Changing the system  midstream made no sense especially playing 3 or 4 different back-up QBs without any experience.  The final 7 games is when SU struggled mightily to move the ball and to score, and this has been discussed and discussed and discussed on this board.
 
The numbers so far this season are impressive considering losing T-Hunt the first game and then Dungey missing 1.5 games.   In the first half against CMU, the SU offense had 285 yards, but then Dungey went down, and in the second half of that game SU had 12 yards.   Against USF, the SU offense struggled in the first half with Dungey returning to the lineup and also playing in his first road game in college, but in the second half the SU offense moved the ball and scored points until the cramping.  We will see in the next few weeks what this offense is about.  I think we all hope for stability at the QB position and that the offense continues to improve.  The sample size right now with the context so far this season is silly to use for comparisons, and many people have posted that idea in recent threads re: this season.
