Nice write up. I will look forward to your Part 2. Just a couple of thoughts to add. Nice thoughts on Bayer - reminded me of when McNabb was a hoops walk-on & made some key plays to win us a few games. Better check with SWC for those details !!! Hard to think of any other recent walk-ons that have made an impact. of course, way back when, there was this Boeheim kid..... Moyer is the anti-marek, he has as little feel for the game as Marek has for the game. I love Matt's attitude. he is a great kid; however, I just do not think he will be able to improve enough to be a regular rotation player in a high D1 program on a roster with normal depth. Unless, we get unexpected injury or somebody who is supposed to come back does not, then I do not see a role for Matt next year. I will not speculate on a player's leaving, but in Matt's case I would just want to add that just because he has had a shirt year that would not preclude him from transferring to a D2 program if there is no future for him here. i would so love for Matt to make the jump...I just do not see it in his skillset. Howard Washington, from what little I saw the kid plays within himself and is willing to take on any role the staff would request of him. Players like that can be important. However, he seemed smallish on the court and he also did not seem to have the elite quickness and athleticism required of a smaller player. If he is ever to have more than a minor role here, IMHO, he will have to become a lights out three point threat. He did not as of yet show that skill, but he had decent to good form and maybe he can get there. Biggest problem is that we now have Buddy, who by all accounts should be a bigger better three point specialist, not to mention as coach's son will he might just get a little bit more leash than some other players - remains to be seen. Between coming back from injury and all of our expected depth at the guard spots next season, it is hard to see him getting more than end of the bench minutes.
