Pretty much ensures a loss sadly. Hopefully we can just keep the winning season streak alive and hope next year is somehow better.

Last one, clearly you dont watch jb’s pressers

I think second chance pts was deciding factor.

3p fg percentage prob skewed by end of game situation

Spot on. Notre Dame passed the ball 5 or more times to patiently get good looks And hit the open man. SU? Iso head down shoot first the open man is invisible.
Easy to pass a lot vs zone. JB loves the ido game now. SMH

I feel like this iso deal has just emerged, like when tyus battle was here I feel was the first time we really went to this style. I hate it, why is Cole Swider iso so much? Where’s the set plays? Where is the pass and cut/screen away? It’s just confusing. If we had Dion waiters sure let him have at it. But it just makes no sense

the inability to share the ball (assists) for good shots at the end of close games is glaring.
Exactly - shooting percentages are directly linked to quality of shots which more often than not is improved by moving the ball which is something we have no interest in doing.

Easy to swing the ball around against a passive, weak zone.

Not so much against man to man, when you can’t penetrate or break down the defense.

We can’t move the ball because nobody can go by anybody, to get the defense scrambling.

I can't believe Frank attempted zero shots the entire game. It's tough to replace Jesse's 12 ppg on 70% shooting with zero shot attempts from our center. I'm not blaming him. We need to feed him the ball every now and then.

So the only way to get people open if off the dribble?
You’ve gotta be able to penetrate and stress the defense somehow. With Jesse out, we’re not going inside anymore.

Our off ball screens don’t seem to free anybody up. Our high screen for the ball game took a big hit when Jesse went out - because he was a huge threat to catch and finish on the roll.

The way we’re playing right now? Yeah, I’d say we need a guard who can go by people and get that defense shifting to help, to get things started.

Symir forced one to him once and all hell broke loose. “He made one mistake, HE MUST COME OUT IMMEDIATELY!”

JB3 doesn't even put his hands up unless he's demonstrating wildly to the refs after playing matador defense but YOU PUT YOUR AZZ ON THAT BENCH SY
Right?

I mean, I understood when a Flynn’s mistakes were ignored and he was left in. While a lesser role player got the quick hook.

But are our “guys he trusts” even better talents/players than guys who get the quick hook like Symir?

We don’t HAVE horses to ride no matter what. He’s gotta coach it differently. IMO.

Well the question is why does he trust them more?

Hmmmmm. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I agree to keep the defense honest and give a balanced look but even when Jesse was playing how often did he post up on the block and get the ball? it seemed rare, everything was off of pick and roll and dump offs

The shots are going to go to the other guys, not get picked up by Frank.

Maybe Frank can get a put back or something like that here and there, but we're riding with what we've got.

Buddy, Jimmy, Cole, maybe Joe will get the extra few looks.

I mean, JB basically tore into Frank about having to tell him to jump for a rebound. I don't think he's drawing up any plays for the big guy.

Also, I'm not saying he should or shouldn't, just saying that I think Jesse's injury just put more shots in the bag for the perimeter guys.
