I like that our coaches aren't afraid to let kids look around.

Yeah, I feel like taking really hard lines on things often only limits you. This is one of those instances. Make contingencies if you want, but there's really no reason to get angry about a kid looking at his options.

I'd have no problem with our staff saying-you are welcome to look around, but if you do, we can, too. Why should a commitment be one-way?

I suppose if it goes both ways it's fine. I just don't trust either the schools or the recruits to be faithful all of the time.

Good rule. The school is committed to you, once you give them a verbal commitment. They are bypassing other opportunities.

Now, that being said, this will only be enforced against marginal to good prospects. Great prospects will still be safe.
