Dion did the same thing as a freshmen in transition it rarely ended good. Kaleb has good speed, good ball control, solid midrange shot potential, decent height, His outside shooting could use some upper body strength as of last year, but we knew that preseason. His shooting numbers were low but 6 points, just under 4 assists and over 2 rebounds isn't awful for a fresh. Here we have another guy who could be good enough to be our 3rd scorer/leader on the court as early as this year. There is no reason to doubt. I think the scoop comparison is a real tough one because scoop was a slower point guard for his first 3 years here although he had a killer crossover. He operated in a entry pass pg role instead of a drive and dish, and he was smaller with huge upper arms,he welcomed the contact because of his strength. Kaleb is the opposite of that as a pg. I see Kaleb like Flynn/MCW he is a blow by guy he needs to learn to blow by freeze time and finish the play like Pace could with his hook in the lane. I think the better comparison is to see him evolve more into a taller Flynn with less dribbling finesse and with better if not as good shooting potential. At the same time he is pushing to be a mcw to just go by his man without finesse or pounding the ball for to long, and he favors to attack the lane straight on violently more like mcw did as opposed to flynn changing left to right more. Kaleb will develop more of a stop and go and spin move in the lane then mcw did. His potential is Alot Higher then some people think. You can ignore the stats with that type of player. If he gets his shooting numbers up like Gbinije did from soph to Jr, look out!
