Maybe they are on the same page and know this is a lost cause until they get another serviceable QB in the portal. But it might be best for Nixon to move on to a program where he has enough QBs to work with and do what he does best and for Fran to move on to an OC that is more flexible in philosophy. If Nixon left, we will find out how much our offensive recruiting Nixon really had a hand in. The more interesting conversation is how Fran handles the defensive side of the ball which needs to step up if we can’t rely on elite offensive play.
