I think Indy fans are just upset at what a disaster they’ve been and want to be angry at someone. He basically opted not to throw other players or coaches under the bus and it’s getting framed as being a selfish player. Doesn’t really help that Pat specifically singled him out as a “guy who has never won anything”.

Probably shouldn’t be doing things like going over to fake handshake McAfee’s empty booth though - he should be trying to smooth things over and not antagonizing a guy with a big microphone and the support of most of the Colts fanbase.

Surgery was on 5/12/25. Update: Zaire Franklin, a linebacker for the Indianapolis Colts, underwent an ankle cleanup procedure in May 2025. The procedure took place recently enough that he was still in a walking boot, but he was expected to be recovered in time for training camp.

Indianapolis Colts linebacker Zaire Franklin recently underwent an ankle procedure and will be sidelined for the rest of the offseason program. Head coach Shane Steichen stated that the procedure was a clean-up and expressed hope that Franklin would be ready for training camp, according to NBC Sports. Franklin, a key player and Pro Bowler, led the league in tackles last season, according to NBC Sports. Tackles 173, Solo 93, Ast 80, Sack 3.5, FF 5. On March 13, 2025, signed a 3-year extension for 30.3M. Franklin is currently 29 years old the extension will keep him with the Colts through 2027.
