We have scored more than our opponents in those games (a few blowout victories)

Shot 38% from 3 and 47% from 2 in those games

How many of the losses were to the good programs Duke UNC and UVA? 1?

ACCT 6-11 .

it's been... well you know the saying

The Athletic Department’s focus has been on football, singularly.

I might've screwed up how I filtered in cbb reference, I was going by month, team, and neutral court

I'm surprised we won our first game 5 times in a row 2018-2022.

Also, we didn't lose in the ACCT in 2015 and 2020!

By '18, it had taken us 4 years to win our first ACCT game. It came on the tourney's first day to boot, a Tuesday affair against a putrid 11-20 Wake team.

'19 the W came against a 14-19 Pitt team.

'20 the W came against a 14-19 UNC team.

'21 the W came against a 14-11 NCST team.

'22 the W came against a 17-14 FSU team.

So, as you can see, in '18 '19 & '20 the W's came against bad sub .500 teams, and in '21 & '22 against teams just slightly above .500.

Being "surprised" against the likes of those particular teams, well, it simply speaks for itself.

Red needs to hit the portal hard.
I think its more than that. I think its JW and the whole Athletic Department looking at what can be done to upgrade and improve. Im curious what the goals/metrics are to getting on the level this program should be on.

I guess the reason I forgot we won 5 years in a row was because the wins were against horrible teams.

It's debatable if Cuse is even a top 65 program now. Never did I think I'd ever see this.

It's been 10 years since we were relevant heading into the Tournament. We had a few lucky runs where we became relevant, but we haven't mattered in so long. We're a barely relevant program clinging to the past.

Yeah we kinda overlooked the failures in this tournament when JB would get to Final 4 in 16, S16 in 18 and 21. That made it easy to overlook. Look if we are perennial bubble, we need to figure out how to win multiple games in this unless we make a major jump and are solidly in the NCAA.

All the while powerhouses like Notre Dame, Virginia Tech and Miami have WON the tournament in that span. What a disaster the ACC has seemingly been for our basketball program.
Looking at it through a different lens... what a disaster Syracuse has seemingly been for the ACC.

They sure thought they were getting a different program that what we've given them.

Miami football and Syracuse basketball have really let the ACC down. I thought for sure we’d be fighting it out with Duke and UNC every year. I thought we’d be third, but a close third and be much more than a thorn in their side. And then 25-0 and everything was so exciting. And then it just turned to dust and hasn’t gotten better.

I have a panoramic of the first Duke game in my office. I don’t see us ever getting to that point.

Nothing beats the memory of randomly destroying UNC in 2020 though and then seeing the announcement the NBA cancelled their season!
