APR - Kentucky Perfect score

listen its real simple-

when hop and jimmy start recruiting kids who CAN color inside the lines and not leave there mittens in the bus - we will also have a perfect apr

Cal IS a cheater.

Should I let this go, or should I turn this into a ten page thread?

Meh, it's MDW. Here's a picture of AK.

just got off the phone with a friend going to ku- takes class's with all the hoops players-

he just confirmed the worst news ever- cal dont cheat-
every single player found waldo- every single one- and this year they werent able to team up and do it as 1 unit- this year they had to actually find waldo on there own with only a tutor and had to do it before the school year ended

so any talk of pay pal cal is just absurd - guy is know for being a straight shooter and has never had a "issue'' anyplace he has worked

Cal has a great relationship with his players. He supports them when they make the decision to go to the NBA (even shows up at the draft). Agree he is Cal and will always have that used car salesman rep, but when our guys leave we slam them and say they aren't ready on ESPN. Why come back and finish up your classwork at a place that is trying to sandbag you (right or wrong)?

JB has a great relationship with his players too. They return in droves and attend big out of town games, especially tourney games, in large numbers. Many of them come back to Syracuse for work. SU basketball is truly one big family.

Not sure why you'd put any stock in a take from a Kansas fan.

i'd bet some digging into the kentucky one and done system would reveal that a number of these wildcat frosh in these softball classes are getting pitched some intentional walks.

There was a recent article indicating Kentucky's one and doners all take correspondence courses during spring semester. Make of that what you will.
No doubt the correspondence courses are academically rigorous:

1- what is your name? _______________
2- what "school" did you attend fall semester? ________________
3- what is the name of the head basketball coach at UK? __________________

If you answered any of the above questions correctly, you receive an "A" in "Advanced Reading Comprehension" at the U. of K.

I believe it is based on successfully completing coursework for the year. So effectively Cal likely talks to his incoming freshmen and gets a commitment that they will complete their coursework even if they jump to the NBA. They set them up with the bare minimum classwork to make this easily achievable.

Hate him or not he is good at making his program work for him.
I chose the "hate him" option,

lol.

JB and JC should work out an agreement. Tips on the 2-3 zone for tips on competent execution of academic fraud.
We had one athlete that had a (passing) paper re-written for him to raise his grade. Three others were accused of receiving improper assistance, but they were all exonerated by the University judicial system. That's it. One kid, who spoke Portuguese, trying to raise his grade on a paper.

That's out of 650-700 student athletes per year, over a 12 year period. I'm not sure there is another P-5 school that could match that record if you put them under the kind of microscope we were under.

In other words, we don't have a prayer of matching the semi-professional money machine in place at UK, or the mass-scale academic farce they perpetuate for athletes. The only school in the ACC that could come close is UNC (automatic A/no-show classes for 1,500 athletes over 18 years) ... but they'd loose handily because they had other legitimate classes.

This information about Kentucky's perfect score makes it even more amusing that UConn was ineligible for the NCAA Tournament because of the APR! Where the UConn players even enrolled in classes?!

You forgot question #4.

4- How much money would you like to make this year?___________________

If the student answers with an actual number and not a letter, they get an A and that amount of money.
