When Army wins here it is usually on the shoulders of a great goalie, and the Knights have one again in senior Sam Somers.

Somers, at 6-2, 217 another in a long line of big Army goalies, has held 13 consecutive foes to single-digit goal totals.

The feeling pregame is Army will come out in a zone defense and pack it in in front of Somers, a strategy that has frustrated SU at times.

Williams 3-0 at the X but Army making a concerted effort to go after the wing or williams whoever comes out with the ball. Somers already with two point blank saves for Army.

Su wins another draw but Salcido with an awful turnover. Hes really struggled this year despite the big hype pre season

2-2 Army with a long possession and another goal on a long range shot. Wardwell over his career has struggled on long range shots. Williams wins again 5-0 at the X but game tied at 2

4-2 end of 1. Williams dominating at the X. Glessner is legit though has ripped a couple of lazers already. Despite Armys great D reputation Syracuse getting a ton of great looks, Somers keeping Army from being down by alot more.

Bad shot by Lecky doesnt reach the net. SU still up 4-2 feels like it shoudl be a lot more. Another huge save for somers unreal

Army running a ton of picks on Offense. SU had the ball but couldnt put two shots on cage and then turned it over with a crease violation. Wardwell with another save. Syracuse middies MIA for the most part. Wardwell nice save then airmails the outlet
