Had virtually no interest in doing this today, but as a public service:

129 FBS Schools
80 Bowl Slots
66 Bowl Eligible Teams
6 Teams with 5 wins and a better APR than Cuse
42 Teams mathematically eliminated

Leaves 15 teams that can finish ahead of Syracuse 4 8 potential slots.

SMU vs Navy (8-2)
Duke @ Miami (7-4)
N. C. State @ UNC (8-3)
TCU @ Texas (5-6) and v. Kansas State (6-4)
Texas vs TCU (5-5)
Texas - San Antonio vs Charlotte (4-7)
S Mississippi vs La Tech (8-3)
Notre Dame @ USC (8-3)
Miami (O) @ Ohio U (7-4)
Akron vs Ball State (4-7)
Arizona State vs Arizona (2-9)
Ole Miss vs Mississippi St (4-7)
S Alabama @ Idaho (6-4)
La-Lafayette vs Arkansas St (6-4)

Syracuse @ Pitt (7-4)

Winner of Texas - TCU gets to 6 and Bowl eligibility. Pull for TCU as that would eliminate Texas and TCU still has one more shot to get to 6.

Unbelievably, chances are fairly good if they can find some way to win Saturday.
 
Thank you Consigliere. We actually would have a decent shot. Unfortunately without Dungey and with the roster decimated, just can't see us beating Pitt.

Had schedule reversed for Akron and Miami (O). Akron lost. They are out. Miami won. They are Bowl eligible. 14 teams for 7 spots.
 
not a big help with UNC and LT playing so poorly today.. But one more down.

So what has to happen after we get the upset. Have to think it's a huge long shot to get in now with only 5 left
 
Miss St beating Ole miss is not a stretch since kelly is hurt.

worst part is that even if things go well today it still may wait until next week as S. Ala has another game to play as does La. Lafayette.

dont know if its good or bad but we play early so the spots still up for grabs while we play. about all this team could ask for was a shot at a bowl and they got one.
 
Little comfort this season but is anyone unsure this team is much better and so be much better be t year?

Yep I was hoping that other teams like Duke etc would win and I wouldn't feel as bad about losing today but it looks like we would have made a bowl.
