Iowa State: The Toledo Blade is reporting that early this Sunday morning Matt Campbell has agreed to become Iowa State’s new head coach. Nick Piotrowicz of The Blade reported the agreement at 12:23 AM EST. The Ames Tribune, at 12:45AM reported the deal has been agreed to as well.

I agree, 6 years is long. This guy is young. Everyone has won at Toledo this past decade. Risky but Im not saying he wont be successful.

The money he gets from Iowa St will set him and his family up for life. $$ is always the most important factor. These guys don't up-root their family, move across the country, and take the criticism they get in their profession for the "love of the game"...they will for money though

This is a good, quick read on how the Campbell situation shook out with Iowa State. Talking about being aggressive, I love the Iowa St AD's approach to Campbell. He knew who he wanted and went and got him.
