As a parent, it just makes me so sad to know that something is so messed up in his home situation or life in general that this kind of action is even a possibility. Maybe he could have broken free from whatever cycle he's caught in if he just could have made it to a campus where the strength of a team and the influence of good coaches could have changed his trajectory.
