In the 4 games we've played so far in the tournament we have played stellar defense.

We have held our first 4 opponents an average of 18 points below their average points per game. Very impressive.

Dayton's average PPG 72.5 scored 51 points against us, a difference of 21.5 points.

MTSU average PPG 72.5 scored 50 points against us, a difference of 22.5 points.

Gonzaga average PPG 78.9 scored 60 points against us, a difference of 18.9 points.

Virginia average PPG 71 scored 62 points against us, a difference of 9 points.



Next up is UNC who averages a whopping 83 points per game. In our 2 losses against them this year, they scored a point above their average and 8 points below their average. Like our chances if we can keep them somehow below 75 points. We've been keeping tournament opponents scoring to an average of less than 56 points per game. That has to be close to a record setting defensive performances in tournament play.

At the same time, SU is averaging 69 ppg in the NCAAT after averaging a little over 70 ppg before the tournament. There is no doubt this team is playing extremely well and has a real chance to run the table, particularly if the offense starts hitting on all cylinders. I wouldn't want to be playing us right now.
